Queue a personalized template email to an existing subscribed contact - for transactional or one-off messages driven by your own product events.

Typical integration flow

Copy the template UID from the Email Editor by clicking the template name and selecting Copy template ID.
Call Send template email to contact with the template UID, recipient email, and from identity.
On 202, read bulk_job.object_id and bulk_job.object_name.
Poll Show bulk job status until status is done or failed.

Constraint	Value
Recipient	Must already exist as a subscribed contact on your list
Email-send rate limit	20 requests/min per API token
Duplicate window	Same template + recipient within ~30 seconds returns 409 (pass `force` to override)
Concurrent async jobs	Shares the 10-job account concurrency cap

Restricted accounts receive 403. Missing template/contact/sender returns 404.

from_name

from_email

The email address to send from. The domain must be a verified and active sending domain for your account.

reply_to

Optional reply-to email address. Defaults to from_email when omitted.
The domain must be a verified and active sending domain for your account.

recipient

The contact UID or email address to send the email to.
The contact must be subscribed to your mail-list.

subject

The subject of the email.

pretext

The pretext of the email.

merge_tags

object | null

Optional fallback values for merge tags used in the template, subject, or pretext.
Contact data is used first; payload values apply only when the resolved tag is empty or missing.
Example: if the contact has CONTACT_FIRST_NAME=John and the payload sends CONTACT_FIRST_NAME=Jack,
the email keeps John. If CONTACT_LAST_NAME is empty on the contact, a payload value is used instead.
